The British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) is the UK’s representative trade association for firms undertaking
landscaping, both interior and exterior, a wide range of associated suppliers to the industry. With a Landscape contracting
membership of over 700, BALI is continually raising standards throughout an industry that is all too often tarred with a
‘cowboy’ reputation.

BALI has announced a Green Roofs Workshop on 2 April that will give landscapers the ability to tap into the growing market in green roof maintenance. BALI representative Daljeet Billing said: “This workshop is an excellent opportunity to skill up your landscape teams to take advantage of the increased use of green roofs on buildings across the country. “Green roof maintenance, carried out by professional landscape maintenance teams, is a burgeoning market – but it’s a very special discipline.” Speakers at the workshop include Sheffield Green Roof Centre manager Jeff Sorrill and Bauder green roof technical manager Doug Ross. The workshop is being held at BALI Headquarters, Landscape House, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
